Congratulations!  You’ve decided to take all those ribbons you’ve worked so hard for and display them proudly!  There are a few things to think about before ordering your ribbon quilt:

Do you want your ribbons cut?

Many quilt designs require your ribbons to be cut and sewn.  If you want your ribbons displayed whole – be sure to discuss this with us before we begin your quilt and we’ll be sure to accommodate.

Ribbon Quilts cannot be washed or dry cleaned.

We recommend that any quilt made only be used as a decorative piece in your home, not as a functional, utilitarian quilt.  When completed, the quilt top is very heavy and stiff, not something you would want to cuddle under.  Display it proudly, but remember that it should be kept safe from spills, pets, and other circumstances where it can get soiled.

How many ribbons do you have?

We custom design each quilt, so we can make a terrific quilt regardless of how many ribbons you have.  Some designs do require us to supplement with other fabrics – but we would discuss this with you prior to starting your project.  Generally, a minimum of 6 ribbons is required for a pillow; 30 for a wallhanging; 50 for a quilt.

How long will it take to get my quilt?

We typically quote a 4 – 6 week turnaround time, but this may change based on the number of jobs we have in-house and the complexity of your quilt.  We will discuss the turnaround time with you when the order is placed.  We will do everything we can to meet any dates important to you, but this is dependent on the quilt order and the workload we have at the time of your order.
