Quick Tip – Joining Strips
Do you get frustrated when your strips aren’t perfectly straight when joining on the diagonal? Here’s a PMQD Quick Tip that will assure your strips stay aligned as they were meant to be!
When laying the strips right sides together perpendicularly (there’s a word we never thought we’d have to hear past high school geometry), offset them by just a few threads – 1/16th of an inch will do the trick. This way, you can see both corners and will be able to draw a perfectly diagonal line from corner to corner. The amount you’d lose in the offset is miniscule, but the accuracy you’ll achieve will be priceless! Try it – let me know if it helped!
